Roopa Mohan is a storyteller from Walnut Creek, CA. She spent her childhood in S.India, steeped in the rich oral tradition of sacred stories and myths. After retirement she came upon formal storytelling at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco where she trained as a docent and storyteller. She has been telling at many venues outside the museum and enjoys trying different genres of stories, often braiding her childhood memories into them. She is on the board of the Storytelling Association of California (SAC) and an active member of Asian American Storytellers in Action.
